Terms of Service

The service
Tip It provides NFC-enabled bracelets and a payment platform that allows service workers to receive tips electronically. By using Tip It, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to receive payments in your country. Business accounts must be registered entities with authority to manage worker tipping. You are responsible for providing accurate information during registration.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your login or allow others to access your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend accounts involved in fraudulent or suspicious activity.
Bracelets
NFC bracelets are provided as part of the service. They remain functional only while linked to an active Tip It account. Lost or damaged bracelets can be replaced through your dashboard. Bracelets must not be tampered with, cloned, or used for purposes other than receiving tips through Tip It.
Payments and fees
Tips are processed through Stripe. Tip It charges a percentage fee per transaction (8% for individual workers, 5% for businesses). Stripe processing fees apply separately. Payouts are made to your connected Stripe account according to Stripe's payout schedule. All fees are deducted automatically before payout.
Acceptable use
You must not use Tip It for illegal activity, money laundering, or fraudulent transactions. You must not attempt to circumvent fees, manipulate the platform, or abuse the service in any way. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Limitation of liability
Tip It is provided as-is. We do our best to keep the service reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for payment delays caused by Stripe, your bank, or network issues. Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid to Tip It in the preceding 12 months.
Termination
You can close your account at any time from your dashboard. Any pending payouts will be processed before closure. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. Upon termination, your bracelet will be deactivated.
Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of Tip It after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated terms, you may close your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
